About the Project
Study Area
While the primary analysis is looking at the U.S. 35 corridor from S. Gettysburg Avenue to Steve Whalen Boulevard, its recognized that the impacts of a project of this magnitude extend well beyond the corridor itself. A larger planning area, as depicted on this map, has been established and will be considered as recommendations and opportunities are identified through the planning process.

Process Timeline
The planning process is expected to take 18-months, beginning in August 2026 and ending in January 2028.
The initial phase, extending from August through November 2026, will focus on information-gathering, data collection and preparing an inventory of existing conditions. In parallel to the technical analysis, this phase of the project will also include extensive public outreach to identify what community members and stakeholders see as key opportunities and to establish a vision for the future of the corridor.
